Marques Houston who was born on 4 August 1981, in Los Angeles, California, USA exhibited his skills as a more prolific singer, writer and producer after the release of his first T.U.G/ A&M/ Interscope Records solo album. He is popular among his fans as Batman.
Earlier he was quite popular for his star performance in hit television series “Sister, Sister.” Marques started his career in 1991, when he started his own group ‘Immature’ along with his friends of childhood Jerome “Romeo” Jones and
Don “Half Pint” Santos. The first release of the ‘Immature’ was ‘On Our Worst Behavior’. However, the sales of the album were not up to the mark and Don Santo left the group. Very soon Marques found a new member for his group Kelton Kessee, a drummer.
But the failure of ‘On Our Worst Behavior’ was very soon eclipsed by the success of the “Tear It Up” from the soundtrack of the movie “Bebe’s Kids.” The last release of Immature was ‘The Journey’ in 1997 as the group renamed itself IMx in 1998. The first release of the IMx was ‘Introducing IMX’ in 1999 and the last one was entitling IMx. In 2002, the band was dissolved after the mutual consent of its members as each of its members wished to pursue their own creative field.
After this unfortunate incident, Houston signed a bond with TUG/ Universal records and continued his career as R & B (Rhythm & Blue) Soloist. In 2003, he released his first solo album entitling MH. In 2006, he launched his first album accompanied with the video of the album for ‘Favorite Girl’ starring Stacey Dash. “Circle” was his second music video that Marques launched on Yahoo! Music and BET’s Access Granted.
